"Quilters' Quarters" of Georgetown, Massachusetts

Welcome to the Quilters' Quarters at Terry's Thoughts and Threads, sharing space with Wooden Toy and Gift. We are located at 59 North Street (just two doors north of Perley School) in Georgetown, Massachusetts.
We're happy to stock a supply of fabric, sewing notions, books and patterns.
We can help you choose fabrics, threads, colors and designs, and guide your shopping experience for all sewing projects. If we don't have something you are looking for, we can obtain it within a matter of days, as we deal with a reputable supplier right here in Massachusetts.
We have a lending library of quality quilt books that customers can borrow for a length of time. We invite you, too, to share books that you've found helpful in your quilting experiences.
We also offer a beautiful selection of note cards that feature the artwork of our local artist, Lynne Schulte, whose original work is on display in her studio at Scala Art Center in Georgetown, in her gallery in Rockport, and has been shown in many local libraries and art shows in New England. Lynne paints views of nature in New England settings, and her note cards bear excellent reproductions of her work.
Our Quilters' Quarters shop hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm, or additionally by appointment. In the winter, we will have beginner classes in quilting. We'll also show you how to use your machine, or learn to sew on our vintage Singer treadle machine, made here in the U.S.A.
We can be reached by email at [email protected], or telephone: 978-352-2676

Quilters' Quarters is proud to become a member of the Quilts of Valor movement in Masssachusetts and across our country. We will have our first meeting on Martin Luther King Day: Monday, January 20, 2013 from 10 to noon at our shop in Wooden Toy and Gift, 59 North Street ~ just two doors north of Perley School. If our group grows to a size that requires a larger space, we can relocate the meetings to the Erie 4 Fire House further north on North Street. There is a page at this website where I will post meetings and progress of our group: Click Here. You might also click the home site for the Quilts of Valor Foundation, Here.
